Mangled history icons for all you history nerds out there~

Did you know that the Beer Hall Putsch was a 'popular lesbian on the large scale'? Or that Plato 'invented reality'? Or that 'Pythagasaurus' fathered the triangle? Or maybe you may have missed the one about Florence of Arabia fighting for dessert. Here's a series of silly 'mangled history according to undergrads' icons. Text is quoted from Ignorance is Blitz, a compilation of history-paper howlers collected by Anders Henriksson. We took some of the most 'icon-able' of these quotes and turned them into icons.

SAMPLES:
Teapot Doom: the text Teapot Doom accompanied by a picture of a large teapot Plato: the text Plato Invented Reality accompanied by a sculpture of Plato's head Pythagasaurus: the text Pythagasaurus fathered the triangle accompanied by a close-up picture of a dinosaur skeleton

The rest of the icons are here, at [community profile] imagination.
