Name/Preferred Name: I have a different name in my wallet, but honestly, everyone just calls me Zhelana or Zhe. Even in person. My online name became my name.

Do you have any pets?? 3 of them in fact, a senior citizen dog named Jack whom I joke I have to teach to drive because he is 15 years old, and two middle aged cats named Aaron and Aggie who only love me when my husband isn't available for them to love.
How long have you been online journaling? So my birthday this year will mark 20 years of journaling every day, though I also did so less frequently before then.
Why do you like online journaling? It gives me a place to dump my thoughts and also occasionally get feedback on them, and also I have a terrible memory so rereading posts lets me remember stuff I might otherwise forget.
What are some of your hobbies? Photography, painting, writing, reading, sword fighting, fencing (yes, these are in fact two different things. One involves broadswords), studying Spanish and Russian

Favorite bands/artists: Ed Sheehan, Josh Groban, Garth Brooks, basically the crooners
Favorite TV shows: I don't even own a TV nor have a netflix subscription. The closest I could say to this is that I enjoy watching the Olympics every 2 years. I do watch a lot of Crash Course on youtube, though. ADHD doesn't let me pay attention to anything for an entire half hour, but the little 15 minute educational videos I can do.
Favorite movies: Moana, Coco, Encanto, Inside Out, I don't honestly watch too many movies for the same reason. These are mostly ones I've found on airplanes while travelling back and forth to England while dating my now husband.
Favorite books: I love Kristin Hannah and Catherine Ryan Hyde. Also Isabel Allende, though I've only read a couple of hers so far. I am always reading. I've already finished 48 books this year, but in large part I don't repeat authors unless I really loved a book.
Other fandoms: I don't really do fandom.

Is your journal friends only, partial or public?: friends only
How often do you update?: daily plus a few weekly segments such as Reading Wednesday and #DailyArt2020, which has now continued for 5 years instead of the 1 I intended.
What do you want in an DW friend?: Someone who won't mind that I'm kind of quiet on comments. I've had a few incidents that have made me very shy about commenting until I feel like I know you better than I do now. Otherwise, people who talk about real life and day to day things that happen to them, that update at least once a week, and also I'm genderqueer and bisexual. If you vote for people who are against my right to be myself, we can't be friends.
